Sharon Massingham, CCAM® - Founder
Sharon Massingham is the founder of Massingham & Associates Management, Inc., a firm specializing in management of common interest developments. She has served in this capacity since March 1985. She is a past chair of the Management Resource Panel for the Executive Council of Homeowners (ECHO) and also a CEO member of the Management Firm Council of the California Association of Community Managers. She has given numerous seminars on management topics throughout the Bay Area, and hosts an annual company-sponsored seminar in February each year.
Ms. Massingham is a magna cum laude graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language and Psychology. She is a Certified Community Association Manager through the program developed by the California Association of Community Managers, and will soon earn her Professional Community Association Manager designation through the Community Associations Institute.
Ms. Massingham is also a principal in Common Interest Mortgage & Realty, Inc., a real estate management company specializing in rental/apartment management and real estate sales.
Robert Rosenberg, CCAM® - CEO (Massingham & Associates) and Regional Vice President (Associa)
Robert Rosenberg is CEO of Massingham & Associates, one of the largest community management firms in Northern California. Joining Massingham right out of college, he has held numerous positions in the company from controller to COO to shareholder. During his tenure with company, the company has grown to five offices managing 320 plus communities in Northern California. In addition, the company holds the prestigious Certified Management Firm (CMF) designation from the California Association of Community Managers. In 2006 Mr. Rosenberg’s stake in Massingham & Associates was acquired Associa.
Along with his duties at Massingham & Associates, Mr. Rosenberg is Vice President for Associa over seeing the California and Washington markets. Associa is a nationally recognized leader in the community association management industry, representing over a million homes in thousands of communities across the United States.
Mr. Rosenberg is a graduate of San Jose State University in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. In addition, Mr. Rosenberg received his law degree from Santa Clara School of Law in May of 1999. He started his real estate career in mortgage banking. He has also worked for a Certified Public Accountant specializing in real estate accounting and a law firm specializing in real estate law. Mr. Rosenberg is a certified community association manager, and a licensed real estate broker.
Mr. Rosenberg is affiliated with numerous trade organizations in the field of real estate including sitting on the board of directors of the Executive Council of Homeowners currently and formerly California Association of Community Managers. Other affiliations include: Tri-County Apartment Association, Executive Council of Homeowners, San Jose Real Estate Board, Rental Housing Owners Association, Community Associations Institute, and the Nation Association of Residential Property Managers.
Lisa Esposito, CCAM® - President
Lisa Esposito comes to Massingham and Associates after serving as president of one of the East Bay's larger homeowner association management companies. During the twelve years of Lisa's employment she was responsible first for converting all of the associations to an accounting program that better suited their needs as a non-profit corporation. Then Lisa took over the operations in order to provide a better management system to serve the boards of directors of more than 100 homeowner associations.
Prior to this, Lisa was the controller for a builder/developer of subsidized apartments. Lisa oversaw the production of financial statements and the budgetary reporting to the Federal Government for these low-middle income rental properties.
Lisa earned her Certified Community Association Manager certificate in 1997 and has served on the Board of Directors of California Community Association Managers for the past five years.
Lisa has served on many committees that support the homeowner association industry. She has recently chaired the 2-day event for CCAM's Trade Show and Law Seminar. Lisa has also sat on the Community Association Institute's (CAI) Manager's Breakfast Planning committee for on-going education of both board members and managers. Lisa has served on the Planning Committee for the Annual Executive Council of Homeowners (ECHO) Tradeshow and Educational Seminars.
Lisa was the first Chairperson for the ECHO East Bay's Multi-Disciplinary Panel. During her two-year term, Lisa chaired stimulating and often provocative discussions amongst the industry's top professionals. Lisa remains a loyal member and supporter of this venue.
Lisa has been a featured speaker at many of the homeowner association industry events. Lisa has been an annual speaker and panelist at the Annual Seminars. Lisa's speaking career began in the early 1990's when she was invited to speak at the then Council of Condominium Homeowners Association (COCHA) Saturday morning educational seminars. Lisa published a handbook for that speaking engagement entitled "How Do You Do a Budget."
